home for christmas

Every holiday season many of us will find time to travel a little or a lot to visit those near and dear. We’ll exchange gifts, eat too much food, visit everyone in the area code and comment on how the Christmas music suspiciously starts earlier every year. For my family, Christmas looks like what you’d expect to find in a Norman Rockwell illustration. Holiday-related decor is all over the place, as are energetic children and various cookies. Since I live out of town, I visit several of these scenes in a very short amount of time. Very fun, very frantic.

I have to admit, though. A good deal of these photos have nothing to do with Christmas..

Christmas Eve at Grandma’s house

These are my wonderful grandparents. I can’t exaggerate how delightful these two are.

Down in Columbus at my favorite coffee shop, Stauf’s, with Clay and Tara

It’s been a little too long since I’ve put in a depressing photo of birds.

Cory

Cory and his son Simon. They’re in from France and headed off to Mali. It was a great to catch up and meet the little guy :-). On a semi-related note, this photo was with an old 135mm 2.8 manual focus lens I forgot I had at home. It’s been really fun to play around with.
